100 Years of model flying BMFA Centenary Celebrations 15, 16, 17 July 2022 – Buckminster Back The National Centre is looking exceptionally good due to a huge amount of work from the team of volunteers Inside Reception All these kits are about one third of this persons collection and they are all complete and unstarted. At the entrance of the Goldsmith Hanger ‘100 Faces of Model Flying’ where 170 models dating back to 1902 from all disciplines were on display. VIP guests are greeted A Buffet lunch and a speech from the BMFA Chairman in the large marquee A Spitfire and Hurricane made three low passes over the centre on Friday The main runway was in action all three days with scale models Tethered cars were run on the track on Sunday.
